Bloomington Kirkwood/Downtown Branch Closure
After much thought and discussion, we have decided that our Kirkwood/Downtown Branch located at 200 East Kirkwood Avenue in Bloomington, Indiana will be permanently closing on August 25th, 2023 at 3:00PM.

Q: Why are you closing this location?
A: It has been our pleasure to serve customer from our Kirkwood/Downtown Branch for the past 35 years and closing the branch is a difficult decision to make. However, customer patterns have changed over the years resulting in a substantial decrease in activity at that location. Looking forward, we anticipate that the Kirkwood Avenue area in general will continue to become increasingly pedestrian-oriented in the vicinity of our location. And combined with anticipated revisions to the planned redesign of the property by the property’s owner, we feel we can no longer successfully operate from this particular facility as we once did.
Q: But what about your other Bloomington locations?
A: We remain committed to the Bloomington market! As you know, we recently made a significant investment in the purchase and subsequent upgrade of our Mortgage Lending Center at 123 S. College Avenue and we continue to consider future opportunities to grow our presence within the community while at the same time being cognizant of evolving trends in customer preferences and traffic patterns.
Q: What will happen to my accounts that are assigned to the Kirkwood/Downtown Branch?
A: All accounts currently assigned to the Kirkwood/Downtown Branch will be transferred to our North Side Branch at 202 West 17th Street, Bloomington, Indiana. Accounts will be reassigned automatically, and no action will be required of you. Access to the balances in your account(s) will be otherwise uninterrupted. You can always access your accounts 24/7 using our online banking or PSB Anywhere mobile banking feature.
Q: Where are your other Bloomington locations?

Q: What will happen to the staff at the Kirkwood/Downtown Branch after the closing?
A: They will still be here! There will be no reduction of staff due to the closing of this branch location. All staff will be reallocated to different Monroe County branch locations.
